Accordng to them, each bike is "designed "as an homage to those amazing machines that spunky gentlemen (and ladies) used to set speed records at Brooklands and board track racer circuits back in the 1920s." Um. Yeah.... They're also pricey commissioned pieces of ridable art.
Phantom has a rich history you can check out here, where you can read how Erasmus Thump, Titus Bottomly, Enoch Podsnap and Mrs. Mabel Ramsbottom started the organization in the Spring of 1919. Mabel is still alive, I think. The others are dead. I think.
It also seems that a ghost or two is informing the creation of this brand directly to Mabel though spooky means. Funny stuff. She must be a hoot at a tea party.
